BMW Gran Coupe will join the 6 Series range and will debut during the 2012 in a major Motor Show.

- Change of the 6 Series range has been confirmed by BMW’s design chief – Klaus Draeger.
- He confirmed that the 6 Series Coupe will have four doors
- 6 Series convertible’s version will be introduced in the same body configuration used so far – with soft-top convertible roof.
- Gran Coupe will debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2012 or at the Paris Motor Show 2012
- Production will be done at the factory in Dingolfing, which is built and the current 6-Series.
- Model could be ready much earlier, but beginning in the Geneva Motor Show is excluded because it is reserved for future 3 Series Sedan F30
